The average American will eat 19 pounds of cereal per year.

Kinda sounds too small…

I imagine it’s a relatively small number because it accounts for all Americans, including those that don’t even eat an ounce of cereal in a year.  The number would grow considerably if you just counted ‘cereal-eating Americans’.
